Our Story...

Since Shakespeare wrote his plays he has been popular. His works have been the inspiration of artists and authors alike. Likely his words and ideas, his phrases and characters will stay forever engrained in our culture.

 

However, there has been a pushback against Shakespeare. His words are antiquated and seems jarring to our way of speaking today.

 

Your task is to read both articles and annotate. You are looking for:

1) the main claims of these articles

2) the supporting details they offer as rationale

 

After annotating you will write your own argument as to why Shakespeare should or should not continue to be taught in our schools.
